Kline visit

Grandpa Wayne and Cheryl visited us for a day during their vacation. I picked A&E up early from school and we went to lunch together. They had fun playing games and hanging out!!

First Soccer Practice

A&E had their first soccer practice on Tuesday. It was H-O-T! Evan stuck through it but about halfway through, Avery was just done. I don't blame her. The heat index was well over 100. :-/ I am glad games don't start for a few weeks so hopefully the weather will cool off!

Busy, busy, busy

It has been very busy around our house. A&E are getting adjusted to going to preK 5 days a week, Andy is busy at work and in another online class, and I got a part-time job teaching at a new performing arts academy that is opening here next month! I will be teaching a Mommy & Me class and Creative Play class three mornings a week. I also joined the flash mob dance class at the studio (that is actually how I found out about this place and got my job!).

I am very excited for this opportunity and it is perfect for me right now. I will still be able to help out in A&E's class and go on field trips while having my own thing to do since they are in school so much.

They are doing great in PreK. I think I am having a harder time adjusting to this new schedule than they are. I miss them. We have been together at least 5 days a week for the past 4+ years and now I only get 2 full days with them. I feel like I'm missing my little sidekicks when I am out and about. Sure it sounds perfect to you busy moms but it is a little lonely. I wish we had an option for 3-4 full days a week or 5 half days but that isn't available here. They are enjoying it and already maturing so we will stick with it. It is just such a long time without them.

Soccer practice starts on Tuesday! We went and bought all the gear after we signed up in July. They were all about some athletic gear. I think they were a bit confused....lol

First Day of Preschool

The big day finally arrived. My "babies" went to preschool today. The morning did not go as smoothly as I hoped and they weren't exactly cooperative. We were almost late so I didn't have time to get emotional. I did manage to get a few pics out of them.

We went to the Wonder Place and met up with our friends Adam and Emma and their mom, Yasmine. They live in our neighborhood so we get together quite a bit. Excuse Avery's messy hair. She insisted on doing it herself that day. :p
