We are still in temporary housing. It is housing like we had last time we were here. I remembered it was bad but man I couldn't live here long term again. Our rental house we were counting on fell through but thankfully we are able to get a base house in a couple more days. It will be so nice to settle and babyproof.
The base hasn't changed very much. There is more new housing. The town has grown a bit. We are still in the middle of nowhere though. I miss Target already. At least we are back in the land of good Mexican food. I am not a Tex Mex kind of girl. I need my white cheese dip. :)
We had a final goodbye lunch with our friends in Texas. We will miss them so!

First day at their new school! They rode the bus back to base and loved it. Once we get settled in our house, they will be riding the bus to and from school. A huge step for them (and me).
a meeting of the minds before school & work
We took the opportunity to go for Japanese while A&E were in school. C worked on using chopsticks and tried miso soup.
A&E are signed up for soccer. They are excited about a new season and had a little practice in the backyard
