Field Day 2012

A&E had Field Day at school on Monday. This school does it so differently than any I've seen. The PreK class was grouped with Kindergarten and everyone could choose 4 events to participate in that day. Then the PE teacher would call kids up 3 at a time (K boys vs K boys, K girls vs K girls, etc) and they would do the event. It took a very, very long time to get through events. Even I was insanely bored. We did activities in the gym in the morning then I took A&E for a picnic lunch at Sonic and we went back for the outdoor events that afternoon. Avery wasn't into it at all. She kept asking to go home during the morning events. They had more fun outside. Evan was of course all about some competition. I'm pretty sure he won every event he did.

More Soccer Games

The end of the school year and soccer season has gotten a bit crazy. We had a weekday game and a Saturday game (in the rain) this week so I am just combining a few pics from them. One more game and the season is over! Thursday evenings game was ROUGH! I mean that literally. There were 2 kids on the other team that were entirely too pushy and rough. Evan couldn't score a goal since they were constantly pushing him down or elbowing him. He was so angry. Avery was getting some of that attention too. I'm so frustrated with the other coach. He blamed it on them "being 4". Too bad buddy, because they played last year and should know by now! The roughest kid was the coaches son. Go figure! Obviously I am still frustrated. ;)

Saturday it rained all morning and we had the late morning game. The fields were so muddy but at least the rain stopped during our game. The team we played were all first time players and so young.

Happy Mother's Day

Fortunately I did get to nap today. ;) I also got some cute cards and 2 gift certificates for massages.

5th Soccer Game

A&E were on fire at Saturday's soccer game. Between the 2 of them I think they had 9-10 points. I tried to see if I could handle taking team pics.

Then I wanted a pic of them together before the game. Don't they look thrilled?

I did get some good videos but I have to figure out how to upload them on the computer. I'm much better with photos.

Murder in Margaritaland

Our neighborhood is a lot of fun. We've made some great friends here and everyone is pretty creative. Saturday, Taira hosted a Murder Mystery Dinner called Murder in Margaritaland. Those who participated were assigned characters and we had to be those characters for the evening. We had objectives we had to do and at the end, we had to guess who the murderer was of our beloved bartender Jack Daniels. lol So much fun! Andy and I were Cocounut Joe and Coconut Jane, the owners of the resort, Margaritaland.

I was the only one who guessed the murderer and I won an award and prizes!

We also voted on who was the best drama king and queen and who had the best costumes.
I'm pretty sure everyone had a blast!

My oldest "baby" is 10

Today is Joey's 10th birthday! We celebrated by giving him new toys! Here's to many more years with him.
